4th Annual Race for Open Space
THANK YOU for a great Fourth Annual Race for Open Space!
The 4th Annual Race for Open Space was an amazing day for those hardy Colorado (and two Utah) runners!
We did not cancel or postpone the Race for Open Space.
SPECIAL THANKS to all the runner and the volunteers! We had a great time even with the challenges of the weather!
Thanks, too, to Liz, Joy, Tony, Brian, Pat and all the Aurora Parks, Recreation, and Open Space staff who keep Star K Ranch and the Morrison Nature Center so beautiful for everyone to enjoy!
This year’s race featured a 5K and 10K (changed from 10 Mile because the last section of course was flooded) course along the Sand Creek Regional Greenway at Star K Ranch in Aurora!
Both races started and ended at the beautiful, soft-surface Sand Creek Regional Greenway at Star K Ranch, 16002 E. Smith Road, Aurora, CO. We had snow, rain, sleet, deer on the trail, eagles overhead, and amazing runners who ran in 34 degree weather and gave it their ALL!
Such a great day – and it will be remembered for the fun, snow, cold, and amazing attitude of everyone at Star K Ranch!
